Easter Goods

I think it's safe to say that Easter is my favorite holiday. Growing up, we always got a little Easter basket, mainly filled with bright yellow Peeps, chocolatey rabbits, jelly beans placed inside pastel-colored plastic eggs, and a few necessities to get us through the upcoming summer months. Obviously, I won't be including anything edible in Sam's basket this year (although, I'm sure he wouldn't object), but I did find a few things that Sam will need during the hot months ahead of us and figured I'd tuck them in a basket and call it an Easter basket. :)

So, in case you're interested, here's a little preview of what we're giving Sam for Easter:

This isn't exactly a necessity, but it's such a cute book! We ordered ours used from Amazon for around $3.00, and it's in great condition.
Sambo's hair is starting to thin (sad), so hopefully this will help protect his head for days at the pool this summer.

I know, I know...but I had to appease Scott. We're down to one paci, so I got these as a replacement. I just hope we don't accidentally "lose" them before football season.
Another cute book---can you tell Sam has a former English teacher as a mom? We love a book around here.
These swim trunks actually look nothing like the ones I got for Sam, but I couldn't find a picture of his.

I'd hate to take Sam to the pool without these. According to Sam's weight last time I checked, I figured I'd better get the size threes. Baby got back. :)

I searched high and low for some baby sunglasses, and finally found these at Target for $6.99. A certain children's specialty store has them for triple this amount, but considering I don't even buy myself sunglasses for that much, I just couldn't justify it.

As for Sam's actual basket, I'm in the process of spray-painting my childhood Easter basket and maybe adding some ribbon or a bow to it. I'll let you know how it turns out. Hoppy Easter!
