Praise Her in the Gates

HEAR, HEAR to the best momma I ever had!

Blog friends, stalkers, invisibles…meet my mother:

DSC_0837She can carry on a conversation with a door knob.

She adores children, especially ones by the name of Sam. :)

She’s quick to forgive, and even quicker not to hold grudges.

She loves people---small, big, white, black, wealthy, poor, loveable, unlovable, blunt, shy, kind, mean.  She loves all of ‘em!

She believes in keeping the laundry hamper empty and underwear drawers full.

She likes a good vacation, but likes being home even better.

She cooks a mean roast.

She can make the most socially awkward person feel comfortable.

She’s been known to read books alongside her high-school-aged children, just so she could chat with us about it.

She’s works hard with willing hands, and a grumble or complaint never murmurs from her lips.

She really, really loves the bible.

Happy Mother’s Day to the best momma around.  I hope I grow up to be just like her one day.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her…Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”

Proverbs 31: 28, 31
